复合是英语词汇发展过程中构建新词的主要方法之一,其中名名复合词在构成新词中占比较大,这一独特的语言现象引起人们浓厚的兴趣和广泛的关注。但目前多数研究仅限于复合词的形态结构、句法结构或语法关系,极少涉及词的语义层面。据此,本文通过对英语名名复合词进行语义特征分析,在认知隐喻学领域探求两个成分名词间的语义关系,并通过概念整合理论解读该词类的组合理据。
