Abstract

Abstract:Objective To evaluate changes in parotid infantile hemangioma by using microultrasound before and after propranolol therapy. Methods Medical records and image studies of parotid hemangioma treated with propranolol were identified in a database. Evaluation criterion included the depth, vessel density and resisting index of focus. Student t test was used to evaluate changes before and after hemangioma treatment. Results The depth, vessel density were decreased and resisting index were increased after propranolol treatment. Conclusion Propranolol can treat infantile hemangioma effectively. Microultrasound can monitor the evolution of infantile hemangioma effectively.
