聚焦蛋白质的O-糖基化研究,揭示蛋白质精准修饰调控机制和生物学意义,在糖基转移酶的功能发现,胞内蛋白质新型糖基化发现,疾病糖链异质体生物标志物的发现,人源糖蛋白生物合成等方面取得系列成果。张延课题组的蛋白质精准糖基化研究在国内具有独特的学科特色,揭示了与肿瘤、发育密切相关蛋白质O-糖基化修饰的精准调控机制和意义;在结直肠癌,肺癌,肝纤维化,阿尔兹海默症等疾病中研究发现基于糖链的生物标志物。
