现担任美国数学会《Math. Rev.》、欧洲数学会《Zentralblatt MATH》的评论员,以及几个美国国际数学期刊的编委。
主持或参与了德国Max-Planck基金、国家教育部新世纪优秀人才计划基金、国家自然科学基金、教育部博士点专项基金、中国科学院重点基金、中国科学院创新基金、王宽诚基金等20多项科学基金项目的研究。
在Springer出版社出版的Lect. Notes in Math.系列发表英文专著一部(with Ti-Jun Xiao)。在《Adv. Math.》(美)、《Math. Ann.》(德)、《Pacific J. Math.》(美)、《Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.》(美)、《J. Funct. Anal.》(美)、《J. London Math. Soc.》(英)、《J. 主讲过本科生的《数学分析》(多种类型)、《高等数学》(多种类型)、《微积分》、《线性代数》、《矢量分析与场论》、《概率论》、《数学物理方程》、《泛函分析》,以及研究生的《分析续论》、《数学物理方程》、《应用泛函分析》、《泛函分析(II)》、《非线性泛函分析》、《算子半群理论》、《算子族理论》、《算子微分方程》、 《无限维动力系统的几何理论》等课程。
在中科大任教授期间,主讲了中科大少年班和教改试点班的《数学分析》等课程,在所参加的8次中国科学技术大学的本科评教中(学生问卷数60份以上), 5次获全校最高分。
