Esquema de vacunación en niños menores de 5 años del Centro de Salud Puerto El Morro

This case study describes the vaccination scheme in children under 5 years of age who attend the Puerto el Morro Health Center, the vaccination scheme in this operational unit belonging to the city of Guayaquil will be analyzed in the month of November year 2020. This analysis is of great importance because it will determine the prevalence of complete and incomplete vaccination schedules, whose impact is given in the social promotion of the National strategy. Methodology: descriptive, retrospective and quantitative, for its information gathering technique the interview will be used as an instrument, a questionnaire will be developed with the vaccination cards or cards where the telephone numbers of said population are found as verifiable means. Analysis of results: For the research, a population of 355 children under 5 years of age was studied, of which 243 children or 77% have the complete vaccination scheme and 82 children or 23% have the incomplete vaccination scheme, in addition to the 82 children who have the incomplete vaccination scheme, the predominant age is 1 to 2 years old with 74% or 61 children, the predominant gender is female with 54%, that is, 44 children, and with respect to the socioeconomic level it predominates the low socioeconomic level with 84%, that is to say 69 children. Conclusion: Despite the efforts made by the promotion and prevention programs offered by the Ministry of Health, there are still children under 5 years of age with incomplete vaccination schedules.
